KENTUCKY AUTHOR WORKSHOPS and COACHING OPPORTUNITIES TBA
TIME TO WRITE. You’ve heard of “porch sitting”? At Snug Hollow, that activity often morphs into “porch writing.” Prefer to write indoors? Choose one of the cozy reading and writing nooks Snug is so famous for, and “disappear” for as long as you’d like. If you prefer to take a long walk or hike to gather inspiration, then come back to your cabin and write, Snug Hollow, with 300 acres of trails, is the perfect spot for you. However you choose to spend it, you’ll have big blocks of time to write.
EVENING READINGS. Each evening, those seeking constructive comments and suggestions will have the opportunity to read their work. Share whatever inspires your work at the moment, whether by reading from a much-loved book or poem, a scene you’d like to incorporate into your work, and enjoy thoughtful and constructive comments from your fellow writers.
SNUG HOLLOW’S FABULOUS HOSPITALITY and OUTSTANDING ALL-INCLUSIVE, VEGETARIAN CUISINE (think gourmet vegetarian meals you’ll tell your children and grandchildren about one day). Breakfasts and “Lunch on Your Own” baskets will be delivered to participants’ cabins. Dinner will be served at The Farmhouse, followed by reading and sharing sessions. Located in one of the most beautiful “hollers” in the Appalachian region, Snug Hollow Farm was named one of “50 Best Girlfriend Getaways in the South” and features unique hand-crafted cabins with cozy fireplaces and covered porches with spectacular views of babbling creeks, glorious wildflowers, abundant wildlife, and the surrounding mountains.
